About the band

Stomping Cactus is Brielle Petrie and Isaac Geslison, a Salt Lake City duo playing original songs rooted in traditional bluegrass and old-time folk.

They've played together for years, in bands including the Copper Kettle Band and BYU's Mountain Strings. As Stomping Cactus they trade banjo, mandolin, guitar and fiddle under close country harmonies. Their self-titled debut came out on Westmoon Records in 2025, and they've played folk festivals across Europe and stages all over Utah.
